Love Story With Jesus


The other day I was on the foot bridge in Missoula. I realized that there were lots of locks on the bridge. I thought about how every lock has a story. Then my friend said she wanted to be proposed to on that bridge. I thought this was a cute idea.

Then I started thinking about the love I have for Jesus and how much he loves me. I love HIM and HE loves me. He has loved me since the day I was born and he pursues me everyday. I have an on going relationship with Jesus. 

I decided to put a lock on the bridge to show that relationship I have with Jesus. Then I realized I could send a message with that lock to encourage someone. I wrote "Jesus loves me and you" on the lock. Then I attached the lock to the bridge and threw the key into the river. 

Whether you are reading this dreaming of a relationship or in a committed relationship, I want to remind you that Jesus loves you. He is seeking a relationship with you today.

Jesus' relationship with us deserves to be shown off just like any other relationship. Am I saying I want to shove Jesus down peoples throats? Not at all, but I am saying I want to encourage others in their relationships with Jesus and Jesus deserves more glory.

The love Jesus has for us is unlike any other. Jesus loves us at our best and our worst. He loves us even when we don't act like we love him.

This is something I was thinking about yesterday as I had a really rough day. I was upset to the point of tears. All I wanted was to be left alone. I went home and took a nice relaxing bubble bath. I just felt horrible about how wanting to be alone I probably let people down.

Then I remembered that Jesus always loves me even when I let him down. He loves me the same no matter what. He always is there. there is no relationship better than a relationship with JESUS!

Today, I added a lock to the bridge because I want people in the city of Missoula to know Jesus loves them. I also did it to symbolize my relationship with Jesus.

Single or not the relationship I have with Jesus is the most important relationship I will ever have. I find myself comparing my love life to girls on Instagram who have amazing godly boyfriends or to the couples getting engaged. God has a plan for me and my love story. I trust his timing. Jesus will always be the most important person in my life.

Where ever you are in life I encourage you that Jesus loves you. I encourage you that he is seeking a relationship with you. He has been pursuing you because he loves you more than you can imagine.

Patagonia Makes My Friends Think of Me

Do they see Jesus when they see me? If you are the slightest bit outdoorsy you have probably at least heard of Patagonia. As a Young Lifer, I love to show off my Patagonia gear. Honestly the location of the Patagonia Outlet played a role when it came time for me to decide where to attend college. While I chose University Montana Western for many reasons, the Patagonia Outlet was definitely one of them. A few of my friends who are not as familiar with the brand have told me that anytime they see Patagonia they think of me. This was so sweet to hear and such a compliment that people associate me with my favorite outdoor brand. It got me thinking I wonder what people think of when they interact with me. He Sees Me

The Lord does not just think, He knows.  The other day I woke up to the sun coming in the window at 6 a.m. Not being much of a morning person I was not ready to get up, so I laid in bed thinking and praying what was on my heart. Then my mind began to wonder to a place which is very familiar to my brain. I thought about the day a guy might look at me and say I'm beautiful and be ecstatic to be with me. I thought about that for a few minutes and a mix of emotions came over me. I thought "Why hasn't that ever happened to me?" and "When it actually happens it will be beautiful."
